The Last Airbender Movie

I can’t wait to watch M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, The Last Airbender . The movie is based on the animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. According to IMDb, the movie will premiere July 2nd of next year. The cast includes hunky actor Jackson Rathbonewho played Sokka, a teenage Water Tribe warrior and Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire who played Prince Zuko, the exiled son of the Fire Nation king Fire Lord Ozai.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the movie from imdb.com:

Street Children

Problems and stress…I worry too much about a lot of things but every time I see kids covered in dirt sleeping just by the side walk oblivious to the scurrying crowd, I feel compassion and guilt. I ask myself why I worry too much when these kids have deeper and even worse problems than us. Compared to the life that awaits these kids, my worries are minuscule.

2010 Philippine Elections

I know the Philippine elections will still be held this coming May of next year but it wouldn’t hurt to start contemplating who you would elect to take the highest and most influential posts in the country. Though, I’m proud to be amongst the Filipino people of this Nation but unfortunately it’s a shame that most leaders care more about their political ambitions rather than the country’s adversities and social reforms. I just hope that All, if not most of us, would come to realize this important decision so as to create hope for our country especially to those who are considered the country’s poor. Blaming the country’s huge population is not the sole issue why the Philippines suffer from poverty but a corrupt government and abusive leaders.

Weekend with Val and Baby Vaughn

My way to spend a really great day is to be with my hubby Val and baby Vaughn. Yesterday, Val took this picture of Vaughn and I in IT Park, Cebu City. We spent the day watching Vaughn with amusement as he walked, ran and tripped on the grass  . Vaughn is only a year and 3 months old so he’s still in the process of perfecting his walk ;) . Val and I felt really happy just to spend even these hours with Vaughn. He’s just so adorable we can’t help feeling thankful and lucky to have him in our lives. Here I am again, feeling vulnerable just thinking of Val and Vaughn. The feeling is quite indescribable really, however, I’m happy to feel this kind of happiness. :)

Wipee! Finally Val was done finalizing tweaks for our new Glow theme. We were supposed to use this theme starting last week but due to time constraints the revisions were only done last night :( . We like this Glow theme better since it has a more girly touch, I guess that’s because of me  . Anyways, I’ve realized there’s still more to be done as well as to be decided in terms of colors to be used of whatever. :) So just standby for some new thingies and tweaks from our site.

Hope you peeps would enjoy navigating thru this new theme!

PayPerPost wipes out your page rank

I’ve never really thought that publishing posts or articles with PayPerPost can really dissolve your Page Rank. :( This sounds really ridiculous but unfortunately true. Most bloggers would lean on websites like PayPerPost since they earn more compared to other income generating programs like Adsense, AdBrite, and etc. Having a low Page Rank is a problem to most bloggers since this hinders your site from appearing anywhere near the top searches.

Why this happened? The reason behind this is to reprimand sites with influenced posts so as to make search results more relevant to the end user. But is this really fair to site owners especially bloggers? Is this really the best way to maintain integrity in the blogosphere? How would we really know that writers are not influenced to write articles that are fictitious in nature?
