Last Saturday, we dropped by one of our favorite shopping malls, the SM City Cebu, and we came across the Make Your Own Havaianas 2010 and was instantly considering buying our personalized wholesale Havaianas or in bulk. However, as quickly as the idea came, I was quick to change my mind, as well, knowing that I have more than enough flip flops at home. If you don’t know where to buy your dream Havaianas flip flops then this was you chance!

The event was catapulted at the Northwing Atrium from July 30 to August 2, 2010. Havaianas, a widely known (maybe a little too much) brand of flip flops not only in Cebu but Nationwide and even Worldwide, inveigled and surprised Cebuanos with its Annual Make Your Own Havaianas event allowing people to showcase their individual ingenuity and style.

This year Havaianas is celebrating its 5th anniversary, thus, having a lot of surprises and cool designs in-store for Cebuanos with happy soles! Also to reveal the very first Philippine-designed Commemorative-Sole sold now during the Make Your Own Havaianas 2010.

This was indeed a unique event and quite beneficial to us Filipinos since we now get another shot at customizing our own Havaianas flip flops this year! It was our chance to show off our creative style by adding letter pins of various colors (to stand for our names), as well as, other embellishments such as silver letter pins, Swarovski-studded pins, jelly pins, fluorescent and glow-in-the-dark straps!

As if all of these were not enough, a really cool and artistic Havaianas Photo Booth, with numerous tiny jelly-inspired flip flops dangled on its backdrop, was setup for everyone to take their photos. Yasmin, Val, Vaughn and I grabbed our chance to pose at the front of it.

After our experience from the said event, we treated ourselves with Gelatissimo’s delicious and mouthwatering ice cream! I just adore the rare taste of Australia’s most famous gelato. We each got ourselves two cups of 2-flavored ice cream with coffee and chocó mint. This cost only 150 Php which was just worth it. You can already taste its refreshing delight for as low as 95 Php with just one flavor of your choice but if you prefer three flavors then the cost is 180 Php.

This is just what I love about SM City Cebu. You can spend a meaningful afternoon with your family or loved ones while enjoying events like the Make Your Own Havaianas 2010 and of course, nearby restaurants and food stalls offering deserts and food, in case, you get hungry.

Some of the finest restaurants in Cebu are found in SM City Cebu. Even now, I’m still bothered about where to buy wholesale Havaianas, but maybe next time, it will be my turn to purchase these flip flops by bulk!
