Famous Pinoy Restaurants – Chikaan sa Cebu

Chikaan or Chika-an sa Cebu is one of the many well-known Pinoy restaurants here in Cebu City and notable for the great variety of food featured in their menu. You don’t leave the city without trying out the food in Chika-an. Compared with other counterparts like Golden Cowrie, the food almost tastes the same but still worth every penny. The menu is quite good especially when you are looking for famous authentic Filipino cuisines.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times but never got a chance to blog about it. The interior is beautiful and comfortable yet classy. It’s definitely ideal for group food moments and other special occasions. Last year, my team held our Christmas dinner at Chika-an so we enjoyed both great food and pleasant conversation.

The prices of food in Chikaan range from P90 to P300. We went there last week and once again, I ordered my favorite dish Baked Scallops which cost around P130, Chicken Relleno P100-P150 (I’m not too sure), Grilled Squid which is P164, Kinilaw na Isda w/ Pepino P89, and Crispy Pata for P220.

What I like about this restaurant is their availability and huge space. They can accommodate a lot of people with tables in the interior, exterior, and at the second level. Unlike other popular restaurants like Golden Cowrie when most of the time you have to call just to get a reservation. If you don’t, you might end up not getting accommodated so you have to look elsewhere to eat.

I know in the US whenever you want to dine out in fancy restaurants you actually need to call at least a month prior just to get a reservation. Well, it’s not really like that here in the Philippines. You can call just a few days earlier or even that same day and still get accommodated.

You can call Chikaan sa Cebu or visit their branch at Salinas Drive Lahug for inquiries and deliveries at (032) 233-0350. You may also visit their branch at 2nd Floor, Northwing Extension SM City Cebu.
