We went to MCD Auto Zone to help us in detailing and re-carpeting our 2nd hand vehicle. We recently bought a surplus-type, Suzuki Alto, which cost really cheap for a car. It didn’t really matter to me that our car is outdated compared to newer vehicles that’s out in the market. What mattered most was that we have a car that’s in good running condition and that could take us from A to B. Another concern of mine was the gasoline consumption. Our car has a 660cc engine which meant that it’s very economical in terms of fuel, though it’s not really the type of vehicle you want to get stuck with during heavy rain, but indeed it’s practical if you’re that concerned about your expenses.

So, we decided to pimp our ride just a little bit and we contacted MCD Auto Zone for their re-carpeting and detailing services. Their re-carpeting costs P6000 and detailing for P3500. This was quite expensive compared to other shops but we wanted to be sure that we’re given quality result where our car was concerned. The total was around P9500 and we deposited P3000 while agreeing to pay the rest once all the work was done. They informed us that the job would take 3-4 days. This was fine with us since I just wanted to make our car’s interior look a little better.

The result was great. For a second I didn’t recognize our car but it would have been perfect if we had our car repainted too. Anyways, the new carpet looked as if it had been done professionally. The detailing was good too as you can see in the photos. They did a good job in cleaning our car’s engine and making it look like new. As for the seats and dashboard we’re still planning on having it fixed once we have the budget. Their permanent upholstery for the seats and dashboard cost P8000 each. It may seem expensive, however, I saw another car where MCD Auto Zone redid the upholstery on the dashboard and seats and it looked neat.
