MCD Auto Zone: Car Detail and Recarpeting

We went to MCD Auto Zone to help us in detailing and re-carpeting our 2nd hand vehicle. We recently bought a surplus-type, Suzuki Alto, which cost really cheap for a car. It didn’t really matter to me that our car is outdated compared to newer vehicles that’s out in the market. What mattered most was that we have a car that’s in good running condition and that could take us from A to B. Another concern of mine was the gasoline consumption. Our car has a 660cc engine which meant that it’s very economical in terms of fuel, though it’s not really the type of vehicle you want to get stuck with during heavy rain, but indeed it’s practical if you’re that concerned about your expenses.

Alba Uno Residencia Review

Alba Uno Residencia is a newer hotel situated in Apas, just 3 minutes away from Asiatown IT Park, Cebu City. We were looking for a room that could accommodate at least 3 adults and 1 child. Luckily, this hotel was able to provide us with a standard family room that’s good for 4 people. Two days before our scheduled stay, we were told that they didn’t have any family room available so we went ahead and reserved a Standard Room that could accommodate two people. This wasn’t a good option considering that you have to pay an additional P300 for the excess person plus another P300 for extra beddings. The room itself cost P1400 which would mean we’ll be paying P2000 instead of only P1900 for a family room.  The pricing seemed inappropriate if you do the math.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Is Showing At IMAX SM Cebu

Finally, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is showing in IMAX at SM City Cebu! Being a self-confessed movie addict this is definitely a movie I don’t want to miss. I just received confirmation from IMAX that they are indeed showing this movie in 2D. Though, I was expecting the 3D version but what the heck! I’ve been an avid fan of Tom Cruise ever since Top Gun and I’ve enjoyed the previous three so I’m quite sure that this movie will again, be a hit!

If you haven’t seen the trailer then see the video below. For those currently in Cebu City you can purchase you tickets by logging on to to www.smcinema.com or dial local 140; call (032) 231-3876 / 231-4852.

If you want to find out what the movie is all about, here’s a short synopsis from IMAX.

What to Do Before Buying A Second Hand Car in Cebu City

Lately, I’ve been very busy with my work online as well as searching for a cheap yet quality second hand car in Cebu. Just recently my family moved to Compostela Cebu which is approximately 23 kilometers from the apartment we rented in Lahug or around an hour if you travel by any known public transportation. It’s quite far I know but that’s really what you can expect when you purchase a home here in Cebu since most of the properties located near the city cost an extravagant amount of money. We’re basically talking around 5 to 15 million pesos, which is absolutely absurd if you ask me, unless your some rich tycoon or drug lord you can probably afford those luxurious properties.

Project Cars Exhibit in Ayala Center Cebu

I saw the Project Cars exhibit in Ayala Center Cebu last Sunday, September 4, 2011. It’s just amazing how people actually live with cars like the ones I’ve seen. I know there’s a lot of people who own fabulous cars not only here in Cebu but also in the Philippines. Obviously, these cool rides have been pimped and customized to satisfy the owner’s expectations. I’ve seen plenty of car exhibits; however, it’s been unfortunate since I haven’t been able to take photos of them. Anyways, check out the photos I’ve taken of the Project Cars exhibit in Ayala Center Cebu. Cheers!

East West Cafe in Asiatown IT Park Cebu

East West located in The Walk at Asiatown IT Park serves one of the best crepes I’ve ever tasted here in Cebu at a reasonable cost. Yesterday, my husband and I went out to have another taste of their delicious desserts. All I know is that they serve one of the best crepes in town. What I like about their crepes is that it smells delicious and tastes even better than most crepes I’ve tasted. You’ll only be spending around P135 to P159 for each crepe.

The flavors available are Apple Cinnamon Fold (P159.00), Bananas & Hazelnut (P159.00), Mango Sushi Crepe (P159.00), Cinnamon Roll (P145.00), Rocky Road Crepe (P145.00), and Peanut Butter & Jelly Pocket (P135.00). My absolute favorite is the Mango Sushi Crepe. As part of their menu, they also have breakfast and grilled sandwiches available. Their version of Big Breakfast is made out of ham and longganiza for P125. Other breakfast meals are Ham (P105), Longganiza (P105), and Bacon (P125).

Avril Lavigne: What the Hell + Lyrics

Sing along with Avril Lavigne‘s What the Hell! Happy Thursday morning! ^_^

You say that I’m messing with your head
All cause I was making out with your friend
Love hurts whether it’s right or wrong
I can’t stop cause I’m having too much fun
You’re on your knees
Begging please
Stay with me
But honestly
I just need to be a little crazy

All my life I’ve been good,
But now
I’m thinking What The Hell
All I want is to mess around
And I don’t really care about
If you love me
If you hate me
You can save me
Baby, baby
All my life I’ve been good
But now
Whoaaa…
What The Hell

So what if I go out on a million dates
You never call or listen to me anyway
I’d rather rage than sit around and wait all day
Don’t get me wrong
I just need some time to play

Tatum and McAdams in The Vow: Valentine’s Day Movie for 2012

The Vow with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams will be the perfect Valentine’s Day movie in 2012. I know it’s a bit early to think about Valentines Day when Christmas is still on its way, but why not? I just recently seen the trailer and I think I’ll watch this movie once it’s out. The release date of this movie is scheduled on February 10, 2012 but that’ll be in the United States. We’ll have to wait for the exact schedule of when it’ll be released here in the Philippines.

In The Vow, Rachel McAdams plays the role of Paige who got into a car accident with her husband Leo, played by Channing Tatum. The accident caused Paige to be in a coma but after she wakes up, she couldn’t remember her husband due to severe memory loss. Channing Tatum is set to win her heart whatever the odds may be. I like the storyline and I’m curious how the movie will end up. Perhaps it’ll be a good ending since it always is. I admire both actors especially with Rachel McAdams in The Notebook.
