We went to MCD Auto Zone to help us in detailing and re-carpeting our 2nd hand vehicle. We recently bought a surplus-type, Suzuki Alto, which cost really cheap for a car. It didn’t really matter to me that our car is outdated compared to newer vehicles that’s out in the market. What mattered most was that we have a car that’s in good running condition and that could take us from A to B. Another concern of mine was the gasoline consumption. Our car has a 660cc engine which meant that it’s very economical in terms of fuel, though it’s not really the type of vehicle you want to get stuck with during heavy rain, but indeed it’s practical if you’re that concerned about your expenses.

East West Cafe in Asiatown IT Park Cebu
September 2nd, 2011
Praline East West located in The Walk at Asiatown IT Park serves one of the best crepes I’ve ever tasted here in Cebu at a reasonable cost. Yesterday, my husband and I went out to have another taste of their delicious desserts. All I know is that they serve one of the best crepes in town. What I like about their crepes is that it smells delicious and tastes even better than most crepes I’ve tasted. You’ll only be spending around P135 to P159 for each crepe.

The flavors available are Apple Cinnamon Fold (P159.00), Bananas & Hazelnut (P159.00), Mango Sushi Crepe (P159.00), Cinnamon Roll (P145.00), Rocky Road Crepe (P145.00), and Peanut Butter & Jelly Pocket (P135.00). My absolute favorite is the Mango Sushi Crepe. As part of their menu, they also have breakfast and grilled sandwiches available. Their version of Big Breakfast is made out of ham and longganiza for P125. Other breakfast meals are Ham (P105), Longganiza (P105), and Bacon (P125).
Abaseria Deli and Café in Cebu
September 1st, 2011
Praline One time my old colleagues back in Convergys and I went to Abaseria Deli and Café for breakfast and I found the place interesting. There’s plenty of cool stuff that you can point your camera to and unfortunately, during that time I consider myself a newbie in photography. I honestly didn’t know how to handle my new D5000 until recently. The food was fine but I remember it was a tad bit expensive for a typical breakfast. However, it was still worth it considering the awesome environment.

JB Music and Soundroom at SM City Cebu
August 30th, 2011
Praline Ever been to JB Music and Soundroom located at SM City Cebu? Last Friday, we went canvassing for an electric guitar and amplifier. I’m not really well versed when it comes to guitars. But I tagged along anyway just curious how much these things really cost. The branded ones like Ibanez, Fender, Gibson, and Washburn were too expensive like around P20,000 to P50,000. However, if you’re looking for cheaper ones these guitars would only cost you P3,000 to P15,000, so take your pick.

JB Music and Soundroom have a lot to offer musicians. I’m sure you’ll find a guitar that suits your fancy. Not only that, there are still other interesting stuff you can find like speakers, keyboards, microphones, drums, and many more. If you haven’t been to these stores, you can find them at the 3rd level of SM City Cebu. Sorry, wasn’t able to get the phone number for JB Music and Soundroom but if I get the chance to visit them again I’ll be sure to ask.
Where to Buy Cheap Nikon D90 & Lenses
August 30th, 2011
Praline Do you already know where to purchase a cheap Nikon D90 and lens? I’m planning to upgrade our Nikon D5000 to a D90 and get a AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens. The lens is cheaper compared to other lenses and is said to provide beautiful bokeh on close-up images. Need to save up for the D90 body which costs around P33,000 to P35,000 while the kit would cost up to P45,000. I’m not a photographer but I consider myself an enthusiast.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2011 Event at SM City Cebu
July 29th, 2011
Praline Travel in personalized lifestyle, that’s the popular theme of the Make Your Own Havaianas 2011 (MYOH) which is currently held at the North Wing Atrium. I went to SM City Cebu earlier today and found interesting designs and ideas for our very own Havaianas slippers. Once again we were given a brochure/answer sheet where we could choose from various options until you’re able to come up with the design that suits your style and taste.

Though it may seem ironic that they have to put this up now considering the dreadful weather and turbulent rainstorms we’ve been having in Cebu these past few days. Nevertheless, I came to observe that plenty of people were obviously fond of personalizing their slippers. I couldn’t help but take some pictures to capture the event and the people who bought their personalized Havaianas. We even took turns and took fun shots of ourselves holding up some of their artistic designs.
How to Look for A House for Sale in Cebu
June 8th, 2011
Praline There’s definitely a lot of ways to look for houses in Cebu. If you’re like me, who didn’t have any inkling about real estate in Cebu then I hope this guide will help you out in your quest for your dream home. First and foremost you need to ask yourself if you’re ready to buy your own home. It may seem easy but you need to expect that there will be expenses and some even quite expensive depending on the type of house you choose. These expenses include reservation fees which may cost around 5,000PHP to 30,000PHP and most of the time the equity. There are some houses here in Cebu, however, that don’t require you to pay equity. These are specifically row houses which typically have 2 bedrooms but the bad news is that most of the time they are not complete. So, you are likely to spend for room partitioning, interior painting, and other finishing touches. The costs of these homes are around 500,000PHP to 1,400,000PHP. This is one option that’s best for those who want to design their own home or who are looking for that perfect dream house look.
SM Bowling Center Launches Funky Bowling
January 18th, 2011
Praline If you are in the mood for a fun, exciting, and even funky activity, the SM Bowling Center is the place to be. You can definitely put in those unused energy and experience a unique way to exercise in SM City Cebu.

Last Friday, January 14, I was one of the lucky bloggers who got invited to the launching of the Funky Bowling event held at the SM Bowling Center. As expected, we all had a blast and took turns getting funky and even earned awards and prizes! After my experience, I will dare say bowling is perfect for some bonding time with your family, friends and dates! SM Bowling definitely did an awesome job with the facilities and venue. Food is also available in case your group gets hungry.
