Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Is Showing At IMAX SM Cebu

Finally, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is showing in IMAX at SM City Cebu! Being a self-confessed movie addict this is definitely a movie I don’t want to miss. I just received confirmation from IMAX that they are indeed showing this movie in 2D. Though, I was expecting the 3D version but what the heck! I’ve been an avid fan of Tom Cruise ever since Top Gun and I’ve enjoyed the previous three so I’m quite sure that this movie will again, be a hit!

If you haven’t seen the trailer then see the video below. For those currently in Cebu City you can purchase you tickets by logging on to to www.smcinema.com or dial local 140; call (032) 231-3876 / 231-4852.

If you want to find out what the movie is all about, here’s a short synopsis from IMAX.

Tatum and McAdams in The Vow: Valentine’s Day Movie for 2012

The Vow with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams will be the perfect Valentine’s Day movie in 2012. I know it’s a bit early to think about Valentines Day when Christmas is still on its way, but why not? I just recently seen the trailer and I think I’ll watch this movie once it’s out. The release date of this movie is scheduled on February 10, 2012 but that’ll be in the United States. We’ll have to wait for the exact schedule of when it’ll be released here in the Philippines.

In The Vow, Rachel McAdams plays the role of Paige who got into a car accident with her husband Leo, played by Channing Tatum. The accident caused Paige to be in a coma but after she wakes up, she couldn’t remember her husband due to severe memory loss. Channing Tatum is set to win her heart whatever the odds may be. I like the storyline and I’m curious how the movie will end up. Perhaps it’ll be a good ending since it always is. I admire both actors especially with Rachel McAdams in The Notebook.

Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley Affair in A Dangerous Method

Is Michael Fassbender and Keira Knightley having an affair in the movie A Dangerous Method? It’s obviously true after having seen the trailer. Michael Fassbender plays the role of Carl Jung while Keira Knightley plays Sabina Spielrein, a Russian patient and one of the very first female psychoanalysts. I find the movie interesting not only because I adore Michael Fassbender but also because the story isn’t really fiction. However, we cannot also conclude that their affair did exist since it was only a rumor. In addition to the already popular cast, Viggo Mortensen, plays the role of Sigmund Freud, Jung’s friend and mentor.

Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance Trailer

Just found out today about Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance or technically Ghost Rider 2. I’m really a big fan of Nicholas Cage and have always watched his movies. He’s a cool actor, no doubt about it. I remember enjoying the first Ghost Rider movie that came out back in 2007. I enjoyed the graphics and storyline. This time, Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider is hiding in Eastern Europe and in an unexpected twist, he is set to stop the devil who’s unfortunately taken a human form. The scheduled release is not yet known but its sometime in 2012. The Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance is definitely one of the most awaited movies next year.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 on IMAX

Yup, everyone is excited about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 on IMAX coming November 2011. It’s been confirmed that the said movie will be available for viewers in IMAX soon. This news was surprising for me considering that IMAX doesn’t seem to hold movies that show too much skin. Anyhow, I’m still looking forward to watching this movie. It’s said to be in theaters on November 18, 2011, however, there’s no update yet about it’s schedule in IMAX.

I’m a great fan of the Twilight Saga books by Stephanie Meyer. Though, I’m not really an avid fan of neither Kristen Stewart nor Robert Pattinson but, still I can’t miss the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and better to watch it in IMAX like no other theatres here in Cebu City.

Why Edward Norton is No Longer Part of The Avengers Movie

The Incredible Hulk back in 2008 was one of my favorite movies and fortunately, Edward Norton, portrayed the role better than the Eric Bana. The story and action sequence were amazing unlike the 2003 version also taking into account, Liv Tyler, who portrayed Norton’s love interest, Betty Ross. Upon hearing the news that Norton won’t be part of the Avengers, I was really devastated. After watching The Incredible Hulk, I thought to myself, Norton’s got to play the role again. He always did well in every role he played and the movies obviously turn out awesome. So why did Marvel decide to take Mark Ruffalo aboard instead?

The Amazing Spider-Man Review

Just recently I heard about the movie, The Amazing Spiderman or Spider-Man, based on the comic book series of the same name. The movie is said to be released on July 3, 2012. For starters I was quite surprised why this movie came out without the original star, Tobey Maguire, considering that he was just perfect in portraying the character of Spiderman. This movie, however, seems more suitable for teens or those still in high school and to be honest, I’m not so sure if this is the kind of movie I’ll look forward to watching next year.
