Sorry for having no posts for a while. I was really busy since the holiday is coming up pretty quickly and I had to finish some work load double time. Most of my time was spent at work this week. But despite this, I’m really looking forward to our Christmas vacation which starts Dec. 24. The company won’t be paying us to go to work since people who work in administration doesn’t really get holiday pays. I’m not complaining anyway, I mean who doesn’t want a break from work? I believe that anyone who has kids want to spend the holiday with their own families. During the break, I promised myself to do more tutorials using Photoshop CS4 since obviously I have the time to finally do so. For those who are also interested to learn about Photoshop CS4, I suggested you start with the very basic stuff like learning what its tools can do and apply it. You also don’t need to spend money for crash courses since there are a lot of tutorials online for free! This is what I’m actually doing. I’ve always wanted to become an illustrator or graphic artist but just didn’t have the money to study for it. I wasn’t raised with a silver spoon or is that what people usually say. But one things for sure, I believe that your willingness and patience to learn things can get you through to anything.

I never thought this would happen but surprisingly this site finally received a Page Rank 1! Woot!!! I’m not sure what day it was but I just noticed the change in this site’s rank this week. You might wonder what the commotion is about so let me just explain that we had this site since February of this year so it took about 9 freakin’ months before it received this ranking from Google. Now, do you understand where I’m coming from? Our other site  ♥bloggercorner♥ was ranked one after only two months but this site just lacked popularity. Anyways, Val and I are enjoying this short-lived happiness for now so please bear with us.

Last September 25, 2009,  we celebrated our ♥ Customer Service and Employee Appreciation Week ♥ and boy was it interesting! Our company not only prepared food but also hired the services of ♥ Foto-Booth ♥ to take unlimited photos of everyone from 11pm that night till 5am the next day. Obviously everybody had a great time doing their cool, sexy, hip poses. As for my ♥ office pals ♥, we had a BLAST! Well some of us I guess. hehe We kept having our pictures taken again and again! I wasn’t really happy with how the pictures turned out since the person behind the camera wasn’t so much of a help. But I wouldn’t blame her for being such a spoilsport. It’s not easy having to be on your feet the whole night taking pictures of other people but hey, it’s your job right? so why complain? Anyways, here are our ♥ goofy shots ♥ during the photo shoot.

Another crappy day today.  I just feel like I’m trapped in a deep hole where there’s no way out. Eveytime I feel like this, I can’t help but dream about throwing in the towel and quit.  Then I realized, this wouldn’t help the situation get any better. Quiting and running away would only make things worst. So I keep telling myself to be strong and have hope. Hope will always be there even though we feel that the road is blocked and empty. As a source of consolation I think about all the people and things that make me feel happy to be alive  and breathing in this world despite its cruelty. I think about how lucky I am to have a loving husband who continuously loves me despite my insecurities and imperfections and how lucky I am to have a son who’s sooo adorable and sweet. They are my strength and the reason why I won’t ever consider giving up.

You might wonder why I included a snapshot of the beach on this post. The beach always keeps me calm and allows me to contemplate more about life.

One of the best things in life is to spend some time with my little angel despite the hectic and crazy life of working in a Call Center. Val, baby Vaughn and I went to Ayala just to take a break and for ♥ Vaughn ♥ to perfect his walk…he’s only a year and three months. We also dropped by Globe to pay our bills and after that…Snack Time! What Val and I have in common is how much we just love desserts and burgers. It won’t take long before  Vaughn  will  inherit our likes as well. One of my favorite snack stops here in Cebu City is McJoy, a fast food restaurant that sells mouth-watering desserts. We ordered their ♥ McJoy  Special Halo-Halo ♥ and cheese burgers, and had a really fun-filled satisfying meal. Val can’t help himself but take shots of Vaughn and myself. It was difficult for Vaughn to stay still so we just had to settle with blurry photos.

One of the things that me and my hubby have in common is watching movies. We just love movies specifically English movies. We’re not really into Filipino movies and that’s because they’re always predictable. Anyways, I’ve recently checked our external hard drive and was surprised that we have a total of 132 movies in it.

Our external hard drive can accommodate 160 GB of memory and we have used up 103 GB already! I guess we have to think about purchasing another hard drive since the movies we like to watch are piling up quickly than we’ve expected. We still have other DVD s stored in our closet and we just don’t have the time to save them yet on the drive.

We just got back from our province last Monday and as usual we have a lot of stuff that needs to be done. For one, Entrecard…as you may have noticed, we haven’t made any drops for like…days!!! This is not good since our stats are waaayyy below satisfactory but what can we do? Anyways, I’m hoping I have the time to keep things into perspective now that we’re back. I would like to thank those who have consistently dropped on our sites even if we haven’t done so in return. You guys are the best! We’re sure to return the favor…ASAP!

Problems and stress…I worry too much about a lot of things but every time I see ♥ kids♥ covered in dirt sleeping just by the side walk oblivious to the scurrying crowd, I feel compassion and guilt. I ask myself why I worry too much when these kids have deeper and even worse problems than us. Compared to the life that awaits these kids, my worries are minuscule.

Don’t these street kids deserve a wonderful home and ♥ loving parents ♥? Of course they do, but what can we really do to help them? I asked myself what I can do? All I did was to give a child 20 pesos but of course this isn’t enough to alleviate them from their sad predicament. The boy looked stunned when I reached out to give him the money. I guess he wasn’t expecting this act of kindness from a stranger. He smiled and I felt even more sorry for this child. As I continued to walk towards home, I silently prayed for the boy. I hope that someday he would find people who would care and nurture him. It’s times like this I wish I had money too share to the needy, but this is just me being naive. I know for a fact this isn’t enough to give street kids what they really need, however, it will help.
