We stopped at KFC, one of the fast food restaurants in Ayala to grab a bite since both Val and I haven’t eaten breakfast. It was noon. I wasn’t too found of eating since I desperately wanted to lose some weight but I just couldn’t control my hunger much to my disappointment. We ordered the usual chicken, fries, coke (my favorite ) and some twister (chicken rolled inside a wrap that tastes like pizza).

Afterward, we went to Time Zone. I can tell my son enjoyed riding this cow designed car that rocks back and forth. Val and I allowed him to ride the car thrice. I played Tekken while Vaughn sat on my lap while Val played one of those racing games with Vaughn on his lap as well. We shot a few basketball but both Val and I weren’t really good at it. I realized we did all this stuff for our son to have a great time. By 2:00 p.m. we decided to head home. Vaughn looked as if he’s about to doze off any minute now. At last we finally reached our small home, where Vaughn slept like a log.

I had so much fun today. This is my way of having a really great time. Spending time with my husband and son lifts my spirits up and gives me hope for the next day to come.

Everyone seems to be busy these days because of ♥ Christmas ♥ . My last shift was yesterday and I was psyched to spend most of my vacation time with my husband and son. Enjoy the  holidays everyone. Hope all your dreams came true this year. Now it’s time to think about your wishes this coming 2010.

When I was in High School I’ve always been fascinated with ♥ Greek Mythology ♥. I just love the stories and myths of ancient Greek gods and goddess‘. I even recall basing my term paper about it which wasn’t really easy at the time due to the lack of resources. Just recently I found out that Hollywood was doing a remake of the 1981 epic movie, ♦Clash of the Titans♦. The remake is soon to hit the theaters by March 26, 2009 with ♦ Sam Worthington ♦ as Perseus and ♦ Liam Neeson ♦ as Zeus. As a kid I really enjoyed the first one and hope that the remake will be better considering that we have outstanding technological capabilities to apply CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) in movies. Sorry for having no posts for a while. I was really busy since the holidays is coming up pretty quickly and I had to finish some work load double time. So most of the time I was busy with work, work and more work this week. But despite this, I’m really looking forward to our Christmas vacation which starts Dec. 24. The company won’t be paying us to go to work because the admin group are not really productive since our job doesn’t involve taking calls or dealing with customers. I’m not complaining anyway since, who doesn’t want a break from work? I believe everyone who has kids and/or a family to look after do. During the break, I promised myself to do more tutorials using Photoshop CS4 since obviously I have the time to finally do so. For those who are also interested to learn about Photoshop CS4, I suggested you start with the very basic stuff like learning what its tools can do and what they’re for. You also don’t need to spend money for crash courses since there are A LOT of tutorials which you can try doing online for free! This is what I’m actually doing. I’ve always wanted to become an illustrator or graphic artist but just wasn’t lucky enough to be given the opportunity. I wasn’t raised with a silver spoon or is that what people usually say. But one things for sure, I believe that your willingness and patience to learn things can get you through to anything.

I just finished filling-up Vaughn’s album with the pictures we developed last Saturday and it dawned on me again how time flies so fast. This picture was my absolute favorite among others when ♥ Vaughn ♥ was only 4 months old. He looked so cute and innocent on this picture that I would feel emotional each time I laid my eyes on it. I totally love kids but having your own is absolutely different. You’d feel an intense love for your child which I never really thought possible until ♥ Vaughn ♥ was born. I realize some of my friends feel that having kids and getting married is difficult. But I feel that motherhood is a gift. Before giving birth to ♥ Vaughn ♥, I didn’t really know what was my purpose or drive in life. Sure, I had ambition but for some awkward reason, I felt like I was going nowhere. I thought having a great job and working hard was enough to make you happy. It did, but the happiness I felt was fleeting. During my pregnancy, I was scared like everyone else. I probably asked a hundred questions in my mind. Was I ready? Will I be a good mother? Can I provide the best for my son? However, despite the uncertain future that lay ahead I was determined to do my absolute best. When Vaughn was finally born, I felt indescribable happiness. He had my hair and nose but most of his features came from his father. Finally, I just knew he is and will always be my purpose in life.

After work, my husband ♥ Val ♥ and I took our little ♥ Vaughn ♥ to the mall for a walk. The ironic thing was most of the time, little ♥ Vaughn ♥ wanted me to pick him up or else he would start crying really hard. We didn’t stay long though since he fell asleep while we waited to have his pictures developed. ♥ Val ♥ and I were hungry but we decided to go home and just order pizza from Yellow Cab delivered to our place. After some time I had to go back to the mall, for Vaughn’s pictures and decided to look for a dress for the Christmas Party. My friend Doi and I met at the mall and I helped her look for some beach shorts while she helped me with the dress. Both of us hadn’t had any sleep yet so we were tired and our feet really hurt. Finally, I found the perfect outfit for the party. The outfit consists of a funky black skirt, long black and gray vest and some black leggings. The outfit was actually worn by a mannequin which made me fear that someone at the party might have the same outfit like mine but I want to be optimistic. The skirt was really short and I would never really wear it without leggings. I’m not really comfortable showing a lot of skin so I’ve decided to sell the skirt after wearing it only once. All that’s left to find would be the perfect shoes. Doi suggested that I should look for a pair of classy boots but I wasn’t in the mood just yet. I’ll look for one some other time.

Huhuhu. ♥ Glam Rock ♥ is the theme for this year’s Christmas Party. My initial reaction was “Hwaaaatttt!!!” But later on I realized I’m just not used to deviating from the conventional themes. Another, reason for my hesitation was I’ve thought about how difficult it would be to find the right outfit for the event. I was hoping I’d be spending less time looking for a dress for the party but I guess this wouldn’t be possible now since this theme requires more imagination and creativity for you to search for the right attire. I’m not really the party type but this is an event I’m looking forward to attend. Since I joined this company, I realized how generous they are during Christmas considering the prizes they have in store for their employees. I just hope I get to go with my hubby since it wouldn’t be the same without him around. Though, we work for the same company but I heard they are dividing the population into two since the Venue can’t accommodate everyone in one setting. I hope I’ll have the time and patience to look for the right dress for the occasion.

Last Saturday was a blast!  Our company gave free tickets to watch ♥ New Moon ♥. I really enjoyed the movie since it was obviously better than Twilight. There were scenes in the book that I would have hoped to be included in the movie but wasn’t, that’s why I think New Moon still lacks the magic displayed in Stephenie Meyer’s book. Most of the scenes I found romantic in the book were not shown in the movie but this I understand since we can’t really expect to include every single scene in the book. I liked how the characters looked especially ♥ Bella ♥. She looked really beautiful but Kristen Stewart really needs acting lessons. I thought the scenes where she was having nightmares looked too superficial and irritating.  Robert Pattinson still didn’t look that hot compared to Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise portraying a vampire role. But I was really impressed with Taylor Lautner since despite his young age, he obviously has a talent in acting. He did a good job as ♥ Jacob Black ♥ and looked hot with his new bod.  The soundtrack wasn’t that great too. I thought they could have chosen better songs like the first one but they didn’t. Most of the songs sounded really weird and boring. Anyways, since the movie was free, I had a great time nevertheless.

I’ve been busy these past few weeks because of work and because I’ve been studying Photoshop CS4 using tutorials online. I really enjoy graphics design and I just realized that I can probably apply what I learned by creating designs.
